Biography

With a whopping 75% of students opting for tech or computer science GCSEs, Bournemouth School for Girls is a STEM powerhouse in the South West. Led by Toby Osborne, a FIRST Tech Challenge UK veteran, we’re not just about building robots; we’re building futures. As a Champion Organisation, we’re here to help new and older teams develop their strategy and skills through each season. But we’re also on a mission to promote STEM with engagement in our local primary schools and support staff CPD.

Ambition

Our ambition for the hub encompasses several key objectives including helping grow the number of regional teams, so we engage as many young people in the challenge as we can. We also hope to work with industry and local government stakeholders to grow support for the challenge in our hub and strengthen STEM-related progression opportunities for young people in our region.
